Disappointingly, the Birmingham Labour run City Council have announced that 25 out of 36 Libraries will close this year.
Our local libraries are vital community hubs used by tens of thousands of residents locally. That is why I have launched my campaign to save OUR four local libraries.
You can help keep Frankley, King’s Norton, Northfield and Weoley Castle libraries open by signing the petition below.
I am still pushing on this and on many other areas. We’ve achieved a lot across many areas, but now’s the time to keep pushing forward.
Some more of my work since 2019 includes…
-
New 400 place SEND School secured.
-
Secured funds to re-open Kings Norton Station.
-
Funds to refurbish Balaam Wood School.
-
Campaign to save our weekly Bin Collections.
-
Secured final payments for ex-MG Rover workers and unlocking the land, which will see hundreds of jobs, including manufacturing jobs, return to the area!
-
Launched our campaign to see police stationed at Rubery Police.
-
Secured funds for the re-opening of the middle platform at Kings Norton Station.
