£1 billion "catch-up fund" to help with the lost teaching time for pupils in England.
£650 million will be shared across state primary and secondary schools over the next academic year with Headteachers, who know their pupils best, deciding how the money is spent.
The remaining £350 million will establish a National Tutoring Programme, which will increase access to high-quality tuition for the most disadvantaged children.
