Weekly Roundup
Monday - We had the Commonwealth Games Bill debate in Parliament where I spoke about the council overspend on the athlete’s village and the need for government intervention.
On Tuesday we had the Telecommunications Bill which helps people with accessing broadband and passed to the next stage.
Wednesday- We had the weekly PMQ session where I asked the first question, which was about social housing, we also had the Budget, where we announced the funding for lots of our manifesto pledges. But most importantly £30 billion for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thursday - the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions came, where we visited Birmingham South West Job Centre. Later in the day I met with constituents and also the chair of our Local Enterprise Partnership
Friday and Saturday I have been catching up on reports, briefings and emails.
