This week has been recess so I have been back in the constituency all week. Meeting local residents, businesses, and community groups.
Monday - I had meetings about the North Worcestershire Golf Course, met with a group from the Hollymore community centre and also the union reps at GKN in Kings Norton.
I also had my first pop up surgery at Sainsburyโs Longbridge
Tuesday - I had a tour around the HS2 Curzon Street station, met with the Chief Superintendent for our area and attended the Weoley and Selly Oak Ward Forum on the evening.
Wednesday - we caught up on casework, and had residents meetings.
Thursday - I met with the truly inspiring Sweet Project in Kings Norton, who are doing some really good work. I went to the Christian Life Centre Food Bank in Selly Oak, and held another Pop up surgery at the Clock Cafe Northfield.
Friday - I met the CEO of the WMCA, and spoke about issues with the new park and ride charges at Longbridge. Asked if there were anymore planned improvements to train car parks and spoke about helping up skill the community.
I also met with Bournville Village Trust about their plans, and how we can work together. Was also great to meet Duncan Cadbury who gave me a great tour full of history.
Finally I attended the Kings Norton Ward Forum at St Nicolas Place.
This weekend has been one with the family, hope you have all had a good weekend too!
