The Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, Simon Clarke MP, visited Longbridge along with the Mayor of the West Midlands to see the ongoing progress in regenerating the site.
The Cabinet Minister was taken over to the West Works and saw first hand the massive site which will soon be home to hundreds of new homes and the first manufacturing jobs in Longbridge since the collapse of MG Rover.
St Modwens took the Mayor, the Secretary of State and the local MP Gary Sambrook around the West Works and up Dalmuir Road to survey the whole site.
"I was delighted to welcome the Secretary of State to Longbridge and show him just how far this area has come since it was devastated in 2005 by the collapse of MG Rover" commented local MP Gary Sambrook.
