Yesterday I received a letter from Cllr Ian Ward (Labour Leader of the City Council) about funding for Birmingham.
My response is below.
It was nothing more than a publicity stunt, speculating about a Guardian article rather than getting on and running the City Council.
The government review hasn’t been published so it is just irresponsible speculation and those who published the figure were very clear in saying it’s not an indication of what to expect.
I will continue to work with the Conservative Group to seek a long term fair funding formula for Birmingham. Standing up for my constituents.
Especially highlighting the mismanagement of the City Council’s resources and taxpayers money that Birmingham Labour love to waste.
