Many local residents have contacted me about the illegal channel crossings which have been happening.
I have raised this with the Home Office and spoke about it in the Chamber.
I'm pleased Priti Patel has agreed a deal with France to tackle this problem. It's complex and there is no easy fix, but its right that we work with our partners to stop this from happening.
